The definitive record of a place that deserves to be remembered.

The HLC Signature Property Story is the flagship production from History Loves Company — a full documentary experience that goes on location, captures the architecture and environment in depth, and produces a film that stands as a permanent record of its subject.

This is not simply a longer version of the Featured Story. It is a different level of production entirely: on-site filming, stakeholder interviews, drone footage where possible, and documentary-quality storytelling built to last in the HLC Historic Property Archive.

Everything in the Featured Property Story, Plus:

  • On-location filming hosted by History Loves Company
  • 8–12 minute documentary-style YouTube feature as the primary deliverable
  • Interior, exterior, architectural, neighborhood, and surrounding-area footage where appropriate and accessible
  • Drone footage when legally and operationally possible
  • Owner, agent, historian, resident, or stakeholder interview where appropriate and available
  • More extensive archival research drawing on a broader range of sources
  • Dedicated YouTube feature published through History Loves Company
  • Newsletter inclusion when appropriate to the HLC audience
  • Additional HLC social promotion across channels
  • Permanent placement in the HLC Historic Property Archive
  • Enhanced QR-code story page with expanded content
  • Priority production scheduling

Also Included (from the Featured Story)

  • Historical research on the property, building, business, neighborhood, architecture, and notable people or events
  • Professionally written property history
  • 3–6 minute edited historical video
  • 1 vertical short for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
  • 10–20 curated historical and contemporary images when available
  • Dedicated History Loves Company web and archive page
  • SEO-optimized written article
  • Social media distribution through HLC channels
  • Digital "Story of This Place" certificate and graphic
  • QR code for listing signs, brochures, displays, and print materials
  • Shareable finished files and links delivered to the client

A Note on Archival Materials and Filming

Historical imagery, documents, and records are included where legally available and reliably sourced. Drone footage is subject to FAA regulations, local ordinances, weather, and site conditions. Interior filming requires client coordination and appropriate access. History Loves Company does not fabricate or speculate beyond verifiable sources.

Who This Is For

The Signature Story is designed for properties and institutions where the history, architecture, or community significance warrants a full documentary treatment. Ideal for:

  • Architecturally significant or landmark-eligible properties
  • Luxury and historic real estate listings
  • Long-established businesses celebrating major milestones
  • Churches, schools, theaters, hotels, and civic institutions
  • Adaptive reuse and preservation projects
  • Historic districts and neighborhood anchor buildings
  • Industrial and commercial heritage sites
  • Properties with compelling personal, family, or community stories

How It Works

  1. Commission Your Story — Purchase your Signature production slot.
  2. Tell Us About the Place — Complete the HLC intake form with address, history, documents, photographs, filming access, and goals.
  3. We Research — HLC conducts in-depth research across public records, newspapers, maps, directories, archives, and architectural sources.
  4. We Go On Location — Our team visits the property to film interior, exterior, architectural, and neighborhood footage as appropriate.
  5. We Create — We write, film, edit, and produce the full documentary feature.
  6. Your Story Enters the Archive — The completed story is published to YouTube, the HLC Historic Property Archive, and delivered to the client in full.

After Purchase

You will receive a link to the HLC Property Story Intake Form. Please complete it promptly to confirm your production slot. Unusual travel distances, extensive third-party research fees, licensing costs, extraordinary production requirements, or work significantly outside our normal geographic area may require an additional quote.
