What exactly is The Foundry?
The Foundry is part marketplace, part vintage mercantile, part creative space, and part community gathering place. Inside you’ll find independent vendors, artists, makers, vintage goods, History Loves Company merchandise, unique finds, and spaces built for creating and connecting.

35 W Huron Street, Suite 101, Pontiac, Michigan 48342 — inside the historic Riker Building in the heart of downtown Pontiac.

Where should I park?
Free public parking is available off Wayne Street, southeast of the building. Additional street and public parking is available throughout downtown Pontiac.
Can I shop The Foundry online?
Yes. Our online store features History Loves Company merchandise along with products from participating makers, vendors, and The Archive. Some vintage, collectible, and one-of-one items may only be available inside the physical store. Shop online →
What will I find inside?
Apparel, art, vintage objects, architectural finds, Michigan-made goods, handmade products, gifts, home decor, collectibles, local brands, and plenty of things you probably weren’t expecting to find.
What are Sunday Drops?
Sunday Drops feature limited, one-of-one, or story-driven pieces connected to Detroit, Pontiac, Michigan history, architecture, preservation, and material culture. When a one-of-one piece is gone, it’s gone.

Yes. The Foundry regularly hosts live music, workshops, demonstrations, creator events, community gatherings, History Loves Company programming, vendor events, screenings, pop-ups, and other special experiences.

How do I become a vendor?

What kinds of businesses are a good fit?
Makers, artists, photographers, vintage sellers, collectors, bakers, designers, apparel brands, small-batch producers, craftspeople, and independent businesses with products that feel creative, local, useful, interesting, or worth discovering.
What kinds of spaces are available?
Space may include smaller displays, vendor pods, window spaces, larger merchandising areas, pop-up opportunities, and managed consignment arrangements. Availability changes as vendors move, grow, and graduate into different spaces.
Do I need to work at The Foundry myself?
Not necessarily. Different vendor arrangements offer different levels of involvement. Some businesses actively manage their space while others may qualify for Foundry-managed or consignment-style arrangements.
Can I test my business with a pop-up first?
Pop-up opportunities may be available during selected events and programming. They’re a great way to introduce your business to The Foundry community before committing to a permanent space. Ask about upcoming opportunities →
Can I sell furniture or larger pieces?
Potentially. Furniture, artwork, vintage pieces, architectural finds, display items, and larger decor are reviewed individually based on available space, condition, style, and fit. Submit a consignment inquiry →

Can I record a podcast or film content here?
Yes. The Foundry includes podcast and media space available for interviews, podcasts, storytelling, business content, social media, video production, and other creative projects.
Can I host an event or workshop?
Yes. Depending on availability and the type of gathering, The Foundry can host workshops, classes, launches, screenings, creator events, pop-ups, meetings, and small private gatherings.
How do I check availability?
Submit the Studio & Event Inquiry with the date, type of project, and what you’re hoping to create or host.

Where do you ship?
We ship throughout the United States. Available shipping methods, estimated delivery times, and rates are displayed during checkout.
Can I pick up my order instead?
Yes. Free local pickup is available at The Foundry, 35 W Huron Street, Suite 101, in downtown Pontiac when the option is available for your order.
What is your return policy?
Return and exchange terms are outlined in our store policies. Questions about a specific purchase can be submitted through our Contact page.
Are vintage and one-of-one items returnable?
Because of their unique nature, vintage, artifact, collectible, and one-of-one pieces are generally final sale unless otherwise stated. We work to document and describe each item as accurately as possible before it is listed.

Consignment
Have something worth discovering?
We selectively consider vintage, historic, unusual, collectible, and story-driven pieces for consignment.
What kinds of items do you consider?
Vintage furniture, artwork, framed advertising, collectibles, Detroit and Michigan memorabilia, architectural pieces, found objects, unusual decor, and one-of-one items may be considered. Every item is reviewed before acceptance.
Can I just bring something into the store?
Please contact us before bringing large or consignment items to The Foundry. Space is limited and every submission needs to be reviewed before drop-off.
How do I submit something?
Use the Consignment Inquiry form on our Contact page. Include photos, a brief description, and your asking price or price range.
