An antique Dietz kerosene barn lantern — heavy cast iron body with the Dietz name embossed on the cap, clear glass globe, ventilated crown, wire bail handle, and a fuel reservoir at the base with the original thumb-wheel wick adjuster. The patina is deep and honest — decades of use and storage, not artificial aging. R.E. Dietz Company of Syracuse, New York was the dominant American lantern manufacturer from the mid-19th century through the 20th. This is the real thing.
Sold as a display piece. Good vintage condition with heavy patina and surface wear consistent with age and use. Globe intact. One of a kind.
