About Christine Rosamond
Christine Rosamond Biesel (1947–1994) built one of the most successful careers of any American artist of her era — her prints sold in galleries across the country, and her originals were sought by collectors who responded to her distinctive style: soft-focus feminine portraits with a dreamlike, almost Pre-Raphaelite quality. At the height of her career she was outselling Thomas Kinkade. She died tragically in the Scotch Creek flood in Carmel, California in March 1994. Her signed works — particularly original pastels — are actively collected and increasingly rare.
