A substantial Art Nouveau table lamp, circa 1900–1920, featuring a domed shade of caramel and cream slag glass panels set within an ornate cast bronze filigree framework. The shade is supported by a matching cast bronze column base with deeply embossed botanical relief — lily pads, stems, and blossoms wrapping the full length of the stem down to a scalloped floral foot. Three original pull-chain sockets remain intact beneath the shade. When lit, the caramel slag glass casts a warm amber glow characteristic of the finest parlor lamps of the early 20th century.
Slag glass panel lamps of this style were produced during the height of the American Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements, roughly 1895–1925. The leading manufacturers of the era — Bradley & Hubbard of Meriden, Connecticut; Handel & Company of Meriden; and Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Co. — produced lamps in this exact configuration: domed caramel slag shade, cast metal filigree frame, botanical relief base, multi-socket pull-chain hardware. This example shows the hallmarks of quality period production: substantial casting weight, detailed botanical relief, and original hardware throughout. Maker attribution has not been confirmed — a mark, if present, would be on the base or socket hardware. Comparable attributed examples from Bradley & Hubbard and Pittsburgh Lamp sell in the $600–$1,200 range at auction; unattributed examples of this quality typically sell in the $400–$700 range.
