Few bicycles capture the feeling of American childhood quite like a Schwinn Sting-Ray.

This vintage Schwinn Junior Sting-Ray — the smaller, scrappier sibling of one of the most iconic bicycles ever built — comes finished in its original Campus Red paint with a classic banana seat, tall sissy bar, chrome fenders, original Lil Tiger chain guard graphics, Schwinn head badge, and a vintage Michigan bicycle license (No. 1358) still attached to the frame. It has the unmistakable look of the neighborhood bike era, when kids rode until the streetlights came on and a bicycle meant freedom.

The Schwinn Sting-Ray arrived in 1963 and changed everything. Inspired by the custom chopper culture of Southern California, it brought low-slung banana seats, high-rise handlebars, and motorcycle-style attitude to the American bicycle market. The Junior model brought that same spirit to younger riders — same soul, smaller scale. By the early 1970s, it was the bike every kid on the block wanted.

Condition

Good original vintage condition. Shows cosmetic wear, scratches, patina, surface rust, oxidation, and age-related imperfections consistent with decades of use and storage. Sold as-is as a vintage collectible — not safety inspected or certified for riding. Please review all photographs carefully before purchasing.
