Vintage Gas Pump Nozzle — Brass, Display Condition
A brass gas pump nozzle, removed from service and kept whole. The trigger mechanism is intact, the knurled knob still turns, and the spout shows the kind of wear that comes from years of actual use — not restoration. It sits well on a shelf or mounts cleanly on a wall. It is a complete object.
The hand-operated gas pump nozzle was standard equipment at American filling stations from the 1920s through the mid-20th century. Before automatic shutoffs and vapor recovery systems, attendants worked these by hand — filling tanks at full-service stations that no longer exist. The brass construction was chosen for durability and resistance to fuel corrosion. Most were melted down or discarded when stations modernized. The ones that survived did so because someone thought to keep them.
