Two carved walnut armchairs in the Victorian parlor tradition — button-tufted backs, cabriole legs with scroll feet, and a carved foliate crest rail on each. The arms curve down into scrolled terminals. The frames are solid, the carving is crisp, and the proportions are right. These are the kind of chairs that anchor a room.
The original gold and yellow floral brocade upholstery is intact — aged and honest, with some wear to the tufting consistent with their years. They’re ready to use as-is or to be reupholstered by someone who wants to put their own mark on a serious frame. Either way, the bones are excellent.
