The Schwinn tandem. The real one.
A Schwinn De Luxe Twinn tandem bicycle in original red — one of the most recognized tandem models in American cycling history. The frame is straight, the original white script decals are intact, and the chrome fenders and components are present. Gum-wall tires. Two seats, two sets of handlebars, two sets of pedals. The chain runs the full length of the frame. It is exactly what it looks like: a Schwinn tandem in very good original condition.
The De Luxe Twinn was produced by Schwinn through the 1960s and into the 1970s and was the top of their tandem line — heavier and more substantial than the standard Twinn, with better components and finish. This example has been displayed at The Foundry and is ready for its next chapter.
