Motorola Mid-Century Console TV Cabinet — Walnut, Sliding Glass Door, Brass Legs (Vintage & Found)
Vintage & Found · The Foundry
The television is gone. The cabinet is the point.
A Motorola mid-century console television cabinet in walnut — the tube long since removed, the case left standing as one of the most architecturally satisfying pieces of American mid-century furniture design. The sliding glass door panel is intact. The original woven speaker grille with its Motorola badge occupies the right third of the face. The tapered legs end in brass ferrule feet. The proportions are exactly right.
In its current life this is a display case, a bar cabinet, a media console, or a room anchor — whatever a space needs it to be. The glass door slides cleanly. The interior is open and deep. The walnut case has the warm, tight grain of mid-century American production furniture at its best.
This is the piece that stops people in a room and makes them ask where you got it.
