A classic Löwenbräu vacuum-formed plastic bar sign — the gold lion rampant in high relief against a deep cobalt blue field, set in a molded gold frame with rounded corners. The text reads Löwenbräu — Special & Dark Special Beer in the brand’s signature script. These signs were produced for American bar distribution during the 1970s and ‘80s, when Löwenbräu was imported by Miller Brewing and considered a premium import. They don’t make them like this anymore.
The three-dimensional molding gives the lion real presence on the wall — it catches light differently depending on the angle. Condition is very good for its age. Ready to hang.
