Every page in this journal was once a playing card, a trading card, a Pokémon card. Someone shuffled it, played it, collected it. Now it’s paper — recycled, pressed, and bound inside a hand-tooled leather cover made by a local maker right here in Pontiac, Michigan.
These are not mass-produced journals. Each cover is carved, tooled, and — on painted designs — hand-painted by the maker. No two are identical. The leather will develop a patina. The pages will fill up. That’s the point.
Choose Your Design
- Painted — Floral & Moon ($120) — Dark leather, hand-painted blue flower, moon phases, and botanical elements. Full color, one of a kind.
- Painted — Pokémon: Cubone & Clefairy ($120) — Dark leather, hand-painted Cubone and Clefairy rendered in full color. For the collector who writes.
- Tooled — Wolf ($90) — Jet black leather, deep-carved running wolf with flowing mane. No paint — all texture and shadow.
- Tooled — Bird in Flight ($90) — Dark leather, hand-tooled crane or bird in flight. Minimal, precise, striking.
- Plain ($70) — Dark full-grain leather, clean cover, no tooling or paint. Just the leather, the stitch, and the recycled card pages inside.
Custom Orders Available

About the Paper
Pages are made from recycled playing cards and trading cards — including Pokémon cards. The paper has a distinct texture and weight from standard journal paper. It takes ink well. It feels like something.
