The Detroit Vipers were a professional hockey team in the International Hockey League (IHL), playing out of the Palace of Auburn Hills from 1994 to 2001. In 1997, they won the Turner Cup — the IHL championship — cementing their place in Detroit sports history before the league folded in 2001.
This is an official Detroit Vipers team flag featuring the iconic logo — a cobra snake coiled through a hockey stick, in red, teal, and gold on white — signed by multiple players. Six or more signatures are visible across the flag. An IHL logo patch appears on the flag itself.
Detroit Vipers memorabilia is exceptionally scarce. A multi-signed team flag from a franchise that no longer exists — from a league that no longer exists — is a genuine artifact of Detroit hockey history.
