Antique Rope Bed Frame
Antique Rope Bed Frame
An antique rope bed frame available at The Foundry on consignment from Doug Brackett. Likely 19th century American — the kind of bed that held generations before box springs were a thought. Warm cherry-toned wood with classically turned spindle posts topped with finials, a shaped headboard crest rail, and original side rails with the rope/slat support system intact.
Rope beds are a genuine piece of American domestic history. This one is complete, structurally sound, and ready for a new room. Works as a display piece, a functional bed with a period-appropriate rope or slat conversion, or a striking architectural element in the right space.
