An antique oak banker's swivel chair, available at The Foundry on consignment. Circa late 19th to early 20th century — the kind of chair that sat behind a desk when desks meant something. Quarter-sawn oak frame with a curved barrel back, turned spindles, and sweeping open arms. The seat swivels on a cast iron mechanism above a four-leg pedestal base with original brass ball casters.
The rust-toned upholstered cushion is in good vintage condition. The oak shows the warmth and grain that only comes with age. A functional piece of American furniture history that still works exactly as intended.
