Architecture & Place
For people who look up at buildings and want to know their story.
Architecture & Place is a collection built around the belief that buildings are documents — that the way a city looks tells you everything about what it valued, what it lost, and what it's becoming. This collection includes prints, apparel, and objects that center the built environment: historic structures, urban landscapes, and the places that define Michigan's identity.
History Loves Company was founded on this premise. The Foundry is its physical home — inside a 1920s commercial building in downtown Pontiac that is itself a document worth preserving.
